Haiti or DR? - Global Pal

If you were traveling to Haiti, would you consider using the Dominican Republic for a home base and just going across the border?

I think the DR is typically a more popular destination than Haiti.

Hey Ricardo ..I haven't been there and not really familiar with its terrain and geography and territorial thing..and I guess I will follow your advice what ever you will suggest it here!

I have been to the Dominican Republic several times, and once during their annual celebration of their independence from Haiti.

I'm not very familiar with the details, but I think just a few decades ago there was a lot of unrest across that particular border.
