Egypt is fun if you manage to avoid all the beggars, also take toilet roll with you if you leave your hotel!

I totally agree, I spent 3 month in Egypt and 1 month of it I spent on the loo throwing up into the sink.

And that was the best bit.

No way, me and my brother are planning to spend two weeks in Egypt.
I know there are culture shocks but it can't be that bad, what about the pyramids? that must be out of this world seeing them first hand!

I've heard about beggars, but the issue with toilet paper is a new one on me! Do you mean to say that it is only offered in your hotel, or will someone steal it while you are gone?

ACK! What about flushable wipes? I take them everywhere just in case I need to wash my hands or feet. They fit in compact little carriers.

Crumbling? That is so sad. I heard the Cairo museum is out of sight though.

These are lamentable news to me. I always imagined Egypt to be a great romantic city and have been dreaming to visit it one day. Ah, if only for its historical heritage...
