East Timor is situated in the eastern part of Timor an island in the Indonesian archipelago that lies between the South China Sea and the Indian Ocean. East Timor is a spectacular view as it's ringed by miles of sandy beaches and a deep bluish green sea. It occupies around 50% of the island of Timor. It was settled and controlled by Portugal for more than 400 years and when the Portuguese at last pulled out in 1975 it was annexed by the country of Indonesia.
